We had the pleasure of hosting Adam and his parents for a whitetail deer hunt a few weeks ago. They may not have left the woods with a deer but the weekend was beautiful and memories were made.

Four weeks ago we were honored with a 2024 Employee Giving Program Grant from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.

These grants are given to organizations selected by the Foundations staff members. A huge thank you to Yvonne for believing in our mission and nominating us for a grant. We are beyond grateful to have received this grant as such a young organization and to have been a part of such a wonderful evening.

@whyte_malcolm tested out our new Hoyer lift. We visited the Goodwill Home Medical Equipment store in NJ last week and they graciously donated two lifts. We took one of them to a local welder who was kind enough to donate his welding expertise and fabrication to our mission and rigged up an attachment for our tow hitch. It’s going to be a game changer!

We are excited to be participating in the Cycle VA Maryland event hosted by the Adaptive Sports Program at the VA Maryland Health Care System. We have worked with Lauren to help bring this first annual cycling event to Maryland!

The 3 day event will take place April 17-19, with two sessions each day. The morning sessions will begin at 9:30am and afternoon sessions will begin at 1:15pm.

The first day will take place on the Perry Point VA Medical Campus, the second day will take place at Patapsco State Park and the third day will take place at Susquehanna State Park.

This event is open to all Veterans enrolled in the Maryland VA Healthcare System. No experience or equipment is required. Bikes that are supplied are adaptable to meet individual needs. Veterans must participate in Day 1, and at least one of the other two days.

Registration for the event closes on April 8 of earlier if the maximum capacity of 30 is reached.
